2006-2007 Symphonic Band

 At the conclusion of marching season, the Viking Band divides into two stage bands: Concert and Symphonic. Symphonic Band represents the best of the best of the Viking musicians. In 29 years of competition, the Viking Symphonic Band has never received less than straight superior ratings in Florida Band Master Association's District and State Festivals. The band has also earned many "20-point" trophies over the past three decades, symbolizing the advanced skill and technical precision possessed by the Viking musicians.

Symphonic Band is, for many, preparation for collegiate music groups. Performing the caliber of music often reserved for college-level players and professional orchestras, the Viking Symphonic Band is renown for the complexity of the music they play -- and play exceedingly well.

The Symphonic Band is under the direction of Mr. Randy Folsom, FWBHS's Band Director.
