Friday to Pace
After School - if a student has to stay at school between 2 and 4pm:
The student must stay in the band room. If a student has no way of getting food during this time period have them sign up on the list in the band room and we will have items so that the student can make a sandwich. Or - bring an extra bag lunch from home.
4:30pm - meet in the Band Room - everyone wear the uniform: bibbers, socks and shoes - bring the uniform bag containing the jacket, gauntlets and gloves. Bring the hat in the box or uniform bag - take care of your belongings - we will not be responsible for the hat breaking or the loss of items. Put your name on things and keep your items together. Keep the bibber straps up on the shoulders at all times - bring a white towel to sit on in the bleachers. Color Guard members refer to separate instructions from your leaders issues unique to your section.
5:00pm - depart on school buses - don’t forget your instrument and flip folders
6:30pm - arrive at Pace High School - loading crew & percussion section - depart the bus first (with your items for the game) and go immediately to the trucks for unloading. (with an Adult)
All others finish putting on the uniform and wait until you are asked to depart the bus. After departing the bus immediately gather in your sections and wait for instructions. Take everything you need for the game. Some instruments will be on the truck: Percussion, Tuba, Trombone, Baritone, Mellophone and Tenor Sax. Smaller instruments will be on the bus with you. The sections that have instruments on the truck will go to truck together but after the loading crew and percussion.
Only emergency restroom visits when we first arrive. - They are not near where we usually park.
7-7:10pm - enter the stadium
7:30pm - Kick off
The following times are estimated:
10-10:15 - game over
Midnight - ETA back at school.
If you are going home with your parents - meet your parents at the bus, gather your items off of the bus and check out with the bus chaperone. If you are riding with another parent or guardian. You will need a notarized note from your parent or guardian. The person checking you out must have proper ID. Your bus chaperone will be the first point of contact, next would be lead chaperone Mr. Sturos then Mr. Folsom or Mr. Fields.
You may not leave the game early unless cleared by the Band Director.
Please email Mr. Folsom email@example.com if you are interested in being picked up and dropped off at the Parish Point McDonalds. This action is dependent on the number of students responding. Please, email right away - more details will be sent out Thursday morning
