The Viking Symphonic Band is considered one of the finest high school instrumental ensembles in the country. Since the schools inception the symphonic band has a virtually unblemished record at district and state festival.
The Viking Concert Band is recognized for the difficulty of its repertoire and the musicality of its performances. It is one of the few second bands in the state which has earned a superior rating at state festival.
The Viking Jazz Bands perform a breadth of idiomatic music and are renowned for their exceptional performances of professional level charts. They perform extensive public performances and consistently earn superior ratings in festivals.
The newest performing ensemble, Winter Guard Ensemble, an indoor marching group, continues the caliber of excellence with consistent superior ratings at regional competition.
