Mr. Randy Folsom

Band Director

Randy Folsom has served more than 20 years in the Okaloosa County School system.  He is currently the President-Elect of the Florida Bandmaster Association.  Prior to serving as Director of Bands and Assistant Band Director with the Vikings, he served at Crestview High School and Richbourg Middle School -- also in Okaloosa County.  Mr. Folsom attended Troy State University where he received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees.  His professional affiliations include Kappa Kappa Psi Honorary Band Fraternity, Music Educators National Conference, Florida Music Educators Association, and the Florida Bandmasters Association.

Daniel Farr received his Bachelor of Music Education degree with honors from the Florida State University.  While at FSU, Mr. Farr was President of CMENC (Collegiate Music Educator’s National Conference) and the Music Education liaison for the Dean’s Student Advisory Council.  During his time with the Marching Chiefs Mr. Farr held the positions of row leader, Clarinet Section Leader, Assistant Drum Major and Head Drum Major.  He studied conducting with Patrick Dunnigan and Richard Clary, and clarinet with Deborah Bish.  His professional affiliations include Kappa Kappa Psi Honorary Band Fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, the Florida Bandmasters Association, the Florida Music Educator’s Association, and MENC: The National Association for Music Education.
